Reducing emissions

Travel

Travel emissions have reduced by over 21,000 tCO₂e, representing a 27% reduction against 2018. Emissions from travel will continue to decrease as F1 Teams scale their investments in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Formula One Management (FOM) continues its remote broadcast operations.

Sustainable Remote Broadcast

Tata Communications has a longstanding technology partnership with Formula 1, providing the connectivity that underpins one of the largest intercontinental remote broadcasting operations in global sport. Through resilient, high-capacity infrastructure, Tata Communications enables F1® to centralise live production workflows at its Media & Technology Centre in the UK. This ultralow-latency connectivity enables production teams to operate remotely from a central hub, significantly reducing on-site personnel, freight, and travel requirements. By delivering real-time connectivity at a global scale, Tata Communications plays a critical role in enabling Formula 1’s remote production model, supporting operational efficiency, consistency, and sustainability across the championship calendar.
