Reducing emissions
Factories and Facilities
Factories and Facilities emissions across the sport have reduced by over 37,000 tCO₂e, representing a 64% reduction against 2018 and a 14% reduction compared to 2024. These savings have been achieved through a continued pursuit by Formula 1 and F1® Teams to transition to renewable energy sources to power their factory and office sites.

FSC®-Certified tyres made with Renewable Energy
Throughout the 2025 season, all Formula 1 cars operated with Pirelli tyres containing FSC®-certified natural rubber, which means that the plantations from which the natural rubber originates are managed in a way that preserves biodiversity and provides benefits to the livelihoods of local communities and workers, while ensuring economic viability. FSC certification joins a number of initiatives already put in place for motorsport by Pirelli in recent years, which includes all tyres brought to the track during a Grand Prix weekend being transformed into secondary raw materials after use; the electrical energy used to make the tyres purchased exclusively from 100% renewable certified sources; and the use of ‘virtual’ design technology for all tyres, which not only reduces development time but also cuts down on materials used due to less physical prototypes being needed.

Energy Efficient Servers
Lenovo’s hardware, services and solutions continue to support Formula 1’s technical operations, with F1 reducing hardware footprint while increasing performance and processing power. In 2026, we introduced Lenovo Neptune Liquid Cooling, boosting performance while improving energy efficiency by up to 40% versus standard air-cooled systems. Lenovo’s Asset Recovery Services have also enabled a more sustainable hardware strategy, responsibly disposing of over 95% of legacy technology and reducing costs and security risks through reliable data destruction
